How do the free walking tours work?

Our tours have no fixed price. You can book the tour for free, explore Gjirokastër with a local expert, and at the end of the tour, you leave a tip based on what you think the experience was worth.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, please! Booking helps us know how many people are coming so we can give you the best experience possible.

Preparing for the Tour

Where is the meeting point?

Our main meeting point is in the heart of the Old Bazaar. You will easily see our guide holding the Argjiround Guide Tour sign.

What should I bring with me?

Because Gjirokastër is the "Stone City" with steep, cobblestone streets, we highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Do not forget your camera, some water, and cash for tips or souvenirs.

What happens if it rains?

Our tours run in both sunny and rainy weather. If it rains, just bring an umbrella and we will still show you the magic of the city!
