   As a local tourism agency deeply depended in the history and landscapes of Albania and especially its Southern region, Argjiround Guide Tour show its full solidarity with the Flamingo Revolution. We strongly believe that the future of Albanian tourism depends entirely on how well we protect our unique environment, nature and cultural heritage today especially our protected areas. Zvërnec and Vjosa-Narta Lagoon is one of them.

    The protection of such a rich and crucial ecosystems as the Vjosa-Narta lagoon and its surrounding protected wetlands, is not just an environmental issue, it is a duty for everyone who carres about the heritage of this country and beyond. This region is one of the last coastal wild areas in the Mediterranean and Europe. It features rare, millenial sand dunes that shield the coast, and it serves as a critical habitat for extraordinary biodiversity. The Vjosa-Narta area is a sanctuary for hundreds of animal species that depend on this untouched environment to survive. It is a vital breeding ground for the flaming pink flamingos, the rare and endangered Dalmatian pelicans or as we call him in Albanian the curly pelican, also pond turtles and sea turtles Caretta-Caretta that lay their eggs along the shore. Therefore, Argjiround Guide Tour stands firmly alongside the young activists, local citizens, and environmental organizations who are peacefully protesting against massive luxury developments that threaten these fragile habitats and risk destroying the home of these precious creatures. We also condemn the built of Vlora International Airport inside this protected area were thousands of wild migratory birds fly every season and are going to be endangered by these projects.

    What we want to say its that there are other areas around to be built and developed, you don't have to destroy this unique place. True progress cannot be achieved through the destruction of nature. Instead, it requires transparency, open dialogue with local communities, and a commitment to sustainable development.
